More Than Friends

It may seem like nothing’s changed,
Like everything’s just the same.
Each day passes by, like every other,
But deep inside, it’s not like before.
Take a closer look into my eyes,
And maybe then you’ll realize,
There’s something growing I can’t hide,
A feeling I’ve tried to push aside.

Things have shifted, they’ve rearranged,
The way I feel has truly changed.
The care and warmth I feel inside,
Is no longer just as friends confide.
It’s not fading, it’s growing strong,
It’s more than friendship, it’s been too long.
I wonder if you feel it too,
That I’ve fallen deeply in love with you.

If you knew what’s going on,
Would you think I’m right or wrong?
The one who stood right by your side,
Is now struggling to keep feelings in disguise.
I’ve changed in ways I can’t explain,
But what if I confessed the pain?
Of hiding love behind a smile,
Pretending everything’s just fine.

Things have shifted, they’ve rearranged,
The way I feel has truly changed.
The care and warmth I feel inside,
Is no longer just as friends confide.
It’s not fading, it’s growing strong,
It’s more than friendship, it’s been too long.
I wonder if you feel it too,
That I’ve fallen deeply in love with you.

If I told you what’s inside my heart,
Would we fall apart, or find a new start?
Can you handle the truth I’ve kept,
That friendship’s no longer enough to accept?
Would you walk away, or stay right here,
When my feelings are finally clear?

Things have shifted, they’ve rearranged,
The way I feel has truly changed.
The care and warmth I feel inside,
Is no longer just as friends confide.
It’s not fading, it’s growing strong,
It’s more than friendship, it’s been too long.
I wonder if you feel it too,
That I’ve fallen deeply in love with you.

So now I stand, unsure of where to go,
With a love that I’ve tried not to show.
Do I tell you, or let it be?
This is no longer friendship—it’s love inside of me.
