Not Too Late to Love

There’s a spark when our eyes meet across the quiet room,
Like a whisper of something that’s waiting to bloom.
We pretend there is nothing, though both of us know,
There’s a warmth in the silence, a soft, gentle glow.

We walk side by side, yet we’re holding our breath,
Fearing timing will push what our hearts can’t confess.
Though the world keeps on turning, the truth stays the same—
We are more than just friends, though we don’t say the name.

We keep pacing our steps, staying cautious and slow,
For the right kind of love needs its moment to grow.
Even if we feel close, even if it feels right,
Something tells us to wait for the perfect daylight.

So I’ll carry this feeling and patiently stay,
Let the hours drift softly, let destiny sway.
I’ll hold tight to this meaning, unspoken but true,
Till the moment we’re brave enough to say “me and you.”
If our hearts still agree with the stars up above,
Then tomorrow is never too late —
Not too late to love.

If today we’re just friends, I’ll be grateful you’re near,
For your presence alone is the calm that I hear.
Maybe love’s quiet footsteps are taking their time,
But they always move forward, in rhythm, in rhyme.

I won’t worry how long till our paths realign,
For what’s written in heartbeats will always be mine.
We don’t need the world’s blessing or anyone’s say,
If the truth in our silence won’t fade with the day.

Though we don’t cross the line, we both stand at its edge,
Holding dreams that we’re scared to turn into a pledge.
Still, I know in my bones that we’re closer than seems,
For your shadow walks softly inside all my dreams.

Maybe someday we’ll stand where the sunrise begins,
And the fear that we carried will fall from our skin.
We’ll look back at the days that we wandered apart,
And we’ll smile knowing patience protected our heart.

No regret for the wait, just the peace that we found,
For the timing of love is what sets the world sound.

So I’ll guard what we’re building through silence and time,
Let the days shape our story in rhythm and rhyme.
If the truth in our eyes never falters or fades,
We’ll step into tomorrow with love unafraid.
If our faith still remains when the night turns above,
Then tomorrow’s not late
It’s our moment to love.
