One Day, I’ll Find You

I believe you’re out there, though I don’t know where,
Not sure if you’re far or near, but I search everywhere,
A soul without a home, a heart that’s feeling alone,
Though we’ve never met, I can sense you’re waiting somewhere.

Maybe you’ll come here tonight,
Though we’re just moments out of sight,
You might step in as I walk away,
Leaving me wondering if I had just stayed.

If I stay longer in this place I know,
Take my time, let the moment grow slow,
Walk a little softer where I’ve always been,
Could it be you waiting, the one I’ve never seen?

Morning, afternoon, or maybe at dawn,
Perhaps tomorrow, as the sun carries on,
Someday, somewhere, in this world so wide,
I don’t know who you are, but when we meet, our souls won’t hide.

In a second, eyes will meet,
And the world will stand still beneath our feet.
You might come while I’m looking away,
Only to realize you were here to stay.

If I stay longer in this place I know,
Take my time, let the moment grow slow,
Walk a little softer where I’ve always been,
Could it be you waiting, the one I’ve never seen?

Walk a little softer where I’ve always been,
Could it be you waiting, the one I’ve never seen?

The sky may turn dark, or stay full of light,
But if I linger long, we may meet tonight.
I’ll slow down my steps, breathe in the air,
For you could be out there, waiting somewhere.

Maybe you’re closer than I realize,
Just beyond my sight, beneath these skies.
I’ll wait and hope, for our time to align,
Knowing someday soon, you’ll finally be mine.

If I stay longer in this place I know,
Take my time, let the moment grow slow,
Walk a little softer where I’ve always been,
Could it be you waiting, the one I’ve never seen?

Could it be you, just a moment away,
Hidden in the night or the light of day?
I’ll keep waiting, slow down my pace,
Hoping that soon, I’ll see your face.
