Rose of love

Red roses bloom, a symbol of our love so true,
Their fragrance entices, capturing hearts anew,
But roses have thorns, sharp and sly,
Wounding the soul with a single try.
The petals fall, scattered in time,
Memories fade, love lost like a rhyme.
No matter how much I beg and I plead,
You won’t return, ignoring my need.
Was it my fault, or did you change?
Is this the end, are we estranged?

I planted red roses, just for you,
Nine thousand nine hundred ninety-nine blooms.
Each one a testament, a promise grand,
That my love for you will forever stand.
A thousand years, or ten thousand days,
Through storms and darkness, my love stays.
Even if the sky crumbles and falls,
My heart’s devotion will conquer all.

The days go by, petals scattered and torn,
Watching them fade, I’m left forlorn.
No matter how much I beg and I plead,
You won’t return, ignoring my need.
Was it my fault, or did you change?
Is this the end, are we estranged?
