Words Left Unspoken

How long must I pretend, hiding what I feel inside?
Every time you turn my way, I just look away and hide.

In the silence, I remain, though my heart is calling loud,
But the fear of losing you keeps my lips from speaking out.

Can’t you hear it? Every beat is meant for you,
But I hold it deep inside, scared of what you’ll do.

Words left unspoken, love left unseen,
Trapped in the echoes of what could have been.
If I told you now, would you walk away?
Or would you hold me, ask me to stay?

I’ve rehearsed it a thousand times, the way I’d say your name,
But when you’re near, I lose myself, the words just fade away.

I watch you laugh, I see you shine, standing right in front of me,
Yet the space between our hearts feels like an endless sea.

Maybe one day, I’ll find the strength,
To break these walls and take that chance.
But until then, I’ll stay right here,
Hoping somehow, you’ll come near.

Words left unspoken, love left unseen,
Trapped in the echoes of what could have been.
If I told you now, would you walk away?
Or would you hold me, ask me to stay?

So I’ll wait in the silence, hope in my heart,
That one day you’ll hear me and we’ll never be apart.
